The Project Enviroment

The project enviromnet is where you can interact with your building and its digital twin.

If you click ‘Open’ on a project or click on a project pin, you are taken into that project’s environment. This is where you can manage your day-to-day activities on the project and is where you will spend the majority of your time while managing your project.

`The Twinview Project Enviroment Interface

Upon initial access to your project, it may take up to 10 seconds to fully load the model into the 3D view. However, subsequent load times will be significantly quicker due to caching. Please note that the model's loading speed is also influenced by the complexity of the project and the speed of your internet connection.

The User Interface

The main Project environment UI

The 3D View

This is the main 3D view where you can navigate and interact with your building model (see section Section xxxxx).

The View Toolbar

Tools to interact with the 3D view, such as section and dimension tools.

Here you can access the various features of Twinview, depending upon your package subscription level.

Top Bar

This shows any notifications and allows you to edit your profile as well as log out of Twinview.

Information Palette

The information palette contains various tabs, such as Data, Views,Options and Models. The data tab changes to show data on any object that you select in the 3D view.

The Information Pallet

Data Tab

The Data Tab shows the information about the object or assets you currently have selected. if you have no object or asset selected them the data shown in this panel is project data.

Models Tab

The models Tab is where you can see the models that are loaded into your project as well as their status. Clicking on the light bulb icon will toggle the model on or off temporarily.

The View Toolbar

The view toolbar contains useful tools that allow you to interact with the 3D model and adjust various settings related to the 3D view.

Orbit Constraints Button

This button allows you to toggle the orbit constraints between orbit and Free Orbit. Generally for typical building projects and standard navigation you should leave this set to 'Orbit'.

Pan Button

Clicking this button allows you to pan the 3D view, the same as pressing and holding the middle mouse button. this button is useful for when working from laptops without a mouse, or multi touch trackpad.

Sectioning Analysis Tool

The section analysis tool allows you to cut temporary sections through your 3D model. You can cut using a plane or a section box. See section XXXXX on how to use these tools.

Explode Tool

Blows your model up temporarily. We not sure of the usefulness of this tool, but is it cool! You could make a case i suppose that his tool allows you to explode a densely packed 3D model, allowing easier visibility of objects and assets.

Model Browser

Opens up the model browser popup allowing you to search, and mass select objects or systems using the models inbuilt data structure. See section xxxx for details.

3D View Settings

This button allows you to change the default 3D viewer settings. You can adjust the appearance settings, navigation and lighting settings. These are a user setting and the changes are only seen by you.
